Higher Lower Songs
You see a known song and a second challenger. Decide whether the challenger has a higher or lower estimated stream total than the known track. A correct choice continues the streak and increases your score. A wrong choice ends the run, so the challenge becomes deciding when your memory is strong enough to trust.
- Choose a music category or use All.
- Look at the known song and its displayed estimate.
- Choose higher or lower for the challenger.
- Use artist popularity, song age and cultural reach as clues.
The stream values are stable game estimates rather than live platform statistics. Read how music streams work for the reasons totals vary.
Guess The Song
Identify a track from an audio preview and four choices. The first clue lasts only 0.1 seconds. If that is not enough, request progressively longer snippets. Every extra clue reduces the points available for that round.
| Snippet | Points for a correct answer | What to listen for |
|---|---|---|
| 0.1 seconds | 100 | A unique attack, vocal consonant or production hit |
| 0.5 seconds | 75 | Timbre, instrument and recording texture |
| 1 second | 50 | Rhythm, melody fragment or vocal identity |
| 3 seconds | 25 | Phrase, beat pattern and fuller arrangement |
You can play a random run or the Daily Challenge. The daily set is shared, making scores easier to compare.
Release Year
A song and artist are shown with several possible years. Choose the year stored in the game catalog. Start with the artist's active era, then narrow the answer using production style, known album cycles and what other music was popular at the time.
Release dates can be ambiguous: a song may appear on an album before a later single release, and territories can use different dates. The quiz uses one catalog year consistently for scoring. Our release-year clue guide explains how to reason by decade without memorizing every date.
Emoji Artist
An emoji sequence represents a well-known artist or band. The clue may describe the name literally, refer to a signature song, use a number, or combine word sounds. Choose one of the listed artists. Read the entire sequence before committing: the first emoji often identifies a broad idea while the final one separates similar answers.
Private 1v1
Create a private room, select a game and send the invitation to one friend. Both players press Ready. Every device receives the same round and start time. Answers lock immediately, the correct result is revealed after the round, and scores carry into the next question. The final screen announces the winner.
Multiplayer
Multiplayer supports a host and up to eleven other participants, for a maximum lobby size of 12. The host selects the game and shares the participant link. Players choose a display name and can mark themselves ready.
- The host creates the room and shares the invite.
- Use Hide invite link to remove the link and room code from the host's visible screen without blocking anyone.
- Use Close lobby to freeze the admitted player list and reject late joins.
- The host starts manually when the group is ready.
- The side leaderboard shows current points during play.
- The final table shows rank, correct answers, wrong answers, missed rounds and total points.
Audio and troubleshooting
Use the volume control on audio-enabled pages before starting a round. Browsers sometimes block autoplay until a user clicks once; pressing the Play button again normally resolves this. Preview availability can depend on track and region. For multiplayer, all participants need a stable connection and should keep the game tab active.
If a room no longer has its host, create a fresh room. Temporary rooms are designed for live sessions rather than permanent saved tournaments.
